Christening Gowns Brisbane

Little Blessings Christening Couture introduces to its christening gowns Brisbane market, the classic baby-doll “Julia” gown. Julia, a reproduction of my own family gown, worn by myself and siblings, is designed as a tribute to my grandmother Julia Lindsay. This beautiful gown, made from a silk/linen combination, is transparent in appearance and features tiers of chantilly lace. Chantilly lace is named after the city of Chantilly, France, and dates from the 17th Century.

Little Blessings Christening Couture showcases its tribute gown to christening gowns Brisbane, honouring the memory of my maternal grandmother. Julia Lindsay (1890-1977), was born in Navan, Meath, Ireland. My grandmother’s life, like many women of her generation, was one of hardship. Her first husband William Rennick was killed at Gallipoli and her second husband Norman Hector Lindsay sustained injury serving in WW1. However, Norman and Julia made a life for themselves in Australia on a property called “Hanlonia”, Horse Shoe Bend, Gympie, where my mother was born.

Little Blessings Christening Couture proudly presents to its christening gowns Brisbane audience, a charming heirloom gown, which in time will tell the story of your own family.
